PLEASE before u speak about muslims.... read their instructions, learn about their religion, see how do they think, and always take a neutral side to talk. do not believe what the media tells u! can't u see what's wrong? can't u seek the truth urself?!?!
maybe we won't unite, but at least some of us are not blinded and not racist and knows the truth and don't use hatred as their defence and offence mechanism.

Okay, in speaking from an entirely logical standpoint, Jesus died to save the mortal souls of sinners. If he hadn't died, and he'd lived a great long life and everything had ended happily, what would his sacrifice have been? According to Biblical scripture in one form or another, Jesus was made to be sacrificed, for the good of all humanity. It was God's plan, and that plan involved someone playing the fall guy. Those fall guys were apparantly Judas and the Jews.
Everyone's always so quick to be "Oh, wow, Jesus died for me!", but no one really ever seems to look into the context. The sacrifice HAD to happen, or Christianity wouldn't have half the oomph it does now. No one ever seems to pity the people who were part of Jesus's death, even though Jesus himself did. Jesus didn't hate them or condemn them; he pitied them. Everyone thinks Judas went to hell, but if everything is part of God's plan, than Judas's betrayal was, too.
I hate people who blindly follow these idealisms that organized religion has hammered into them. You're not allowed to question anything, it's always "Do what the the religious script says; and if you don't your a nasty, horrible sinner!" Isn't anyone allowed to think for themselves, and judge their fellow man on merit alone? Really, I think if God had wanted to be worshiped in one singular, particular way, he wouldn't have made thousands of different races and cultures, unless he was looking to shake them like ants in a jar.
Faith shouldn't automatically mean a lack of thought, or a line drawn in the sand. Why do so many people make it that way? Jesus taught peace, so did Muhammed. The Jews wrote the first half of the Bible. I gotta love those born-again Christians firmly rooted in the Old Testament, just waiting for the chance to loose that wrathful God on folks. And no one ever seems to look into the actucal culture and history behind the writings of holy scriptures. Raise your hand if you know that a Roman council decided which books would stay in the Bible and which wouldn't. Or that Constantine, the guy who said Christians would no longer be opressed in Rome, worshiped Mars and Minerva. (I'm sure he went to hell, since that last ditch baptism on his deathbed meant he didn't have God in his heart.)
Faith is supposed to be a good thing, a personal thing. But it's not, and it's because of immature and short-sighted comments like yours that perpetuate the problem. You're not thinking; you're spouting euphamisms like a trained seal. If it was that easy to worship God by doing the right dance steps, taking the right postures, and saying the right thing, then faith would not be so hard. Really, until folks have lived and sacrificed like Mother Teresa or Martin Luther King Jr., they have no right to tell me how to live my life.
Small wonder aethiesits and agnostics are on the rise, AMIRITE!?
